Farmland’s Winter Wonderland Dance
Farmland’s Winter Wonderland Dance will be held Friday, January 29th, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Farmland ES at North Lake. $5 per person, $20 max per family. Bring the entire family for an evening of DJ, games, tattoos and crafts.
We’ve also got dinner covered: Vocelli’s Pizza, drinks and desserts will be sold.
This is NOT a drop off event; every child needs to attend with a parent/guardian.
We need parent volunteers to help set up and clean up, collect money at the door, check in families as they arrive and sell pizza and drinks.
Contact Melissa Keller (mskeller2000@verizon.net) or Carol Lange (langefamily4@msn.com) with any questions or to volunteer.
Please use this Farmland Winter Wonderland Dance form to sign up for the dance and pre-order pizza (this is optional - slices will be sold at the dance).
Farmland Science Fair
It’s time to start thinking about science! Farmland PTA’s Science Fair will be held on TUESDAY Feb. 23rd from 6:30 pm - 8pm at Tilden Center on Tilden Lane (the holding school that now houses Cabin John Middle School). The Science Fair gives children in every grade the opportunity to explore the world around them using science, and then display their project at the Science Fair to share what they learned. Projects at the fair will not be judged; instead, every child who participates will receive a ribbon!
The deadline to sign up for the Science Fair has been extended to January 26th. Your child will then choose a project.
If your child is interested in doing a project (alone, with a partner, or in a group), please fill out the Farmland Science Fair form. There is a $6 fee/project to help cover the cost of the display board and other materials. When we receive the sign-up form and $6 we will give your child a display board and a packet of information. The packet contains guidelines, project ideas and resources, and the title form to submit once the project has been chosen.
If you have any questions, please contact: Lisa Getter Peterson (gettpeterson@yahoo.com) or Don Graves (dgravesjr@earthlink.net)
Are you on the PTA Listserv?
Please make sure at least one member of your family is subscribing to the PTA listserv. It is the most economical and quickest method for disseminating information to parents and is for ALL PARENTS not just PTA members. Important information and deadlines about school news, activities, and events are communicated through the listserv. Please don’t miss out.
See "Get PTA emails" on the side panel to register. Emails from the listserv contain [FarmlandPTA] in the subject line. Choose between two delivery methods: individual emails (you will receive them as they are sent) or a daily digest (emails are compiled for the day).
